Infant Feeding Foundations Workshop – Online

The course is organised into 4 recorded video modules of ~1.5hrs each, plus a 1hr live Q&A session (recorded to watch later for those unable to attend). Course access is for 7 weeks and participants are able to work through the course at their own pace. Participants are also posted a printed course manual. Areas covered include developmental foundations of feeding and oral development; assessment of the oral structure, function, and feeding skills; evidence-based assessment and management of tongue-tie; and treatment of breastfeeding, bottle feeding, and early solids difficulties, including oral motor skills. The course is focused on 0-12 months developmental age, however, the skills covered are applicable for working with older children as the foundation for all feeding skills.
Carly Veness is a Speech Pathologist from Melbourne, Australia. Carly runs Babble & Munch Speech Pathology, a private practice focused on infant and child feeding. Carly also works in the Newborn Intensive & Special Care Unit at the Royal Women’s Hospital and has a Graduate Diploma in Infant Mental Health.
