OVERVIEW
Get Trained in ‘Learn to Play’
Pretend play itself is complex and is closely tied to the development of social competence, narrative language, self-regulation, creativity and problem solving. Often, primary symptoms of autism spectrum disorder, language delay or developmental delay is the disruption of one’s ability to develop complex play. Therefore, understanding the development of stages and types of play, as well as the components of play behaviour is necessary for therapists to bring about real changes and efficacy in their intervention treatment.
SPEAKER
Prof. Karen Stagnitti will bring us through a comprehensive understanding on the benefits of play therapy and its key role in a child’s development. There will also be opportunities for participants to practice on real cases presented to train competency in administering the PPDEC.
